Doug was born on February 5, 1950 in Bertha, MN to Dolores and Elmer Noska. He graduated from Staples High School in 1968, thereafter attending Southwest State in Marshall and graduated with a degree in Microbiology. He married Virginia Biermaier on October 23, 1976 and together they raised four children. With Doug’s ambitious nature and hard-working spirit, he and Virginia opened Noska Plumbing and Heating for business in 1981. He retired in 2017.
Everyone who knew Doug, knew him to be a strong, funny, generous, loving and patient man. He lived life to the very fullest. Doug especially loved nature and spending time outdoors. He and Virginia enjoyed remodeling homes together as a hobby. He was an amazing father and family man, embracing time with his wife, children and grandchildren whenever possible.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Dolores and Elmer Noska and sister Linda (John) Michels.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Virginia Noska, and his four children, Craig (Rachael) Noska, Carlee (Dan) Liggett, Amanda (Kim) Noska, and Grant (Kayla) Noska, as well as eight beautiful grandchildren: Evah, Nyah, Sophia, Elmer, Grace, Noah, Piper and Drake; siblings: Carol (Bob) Winkler of Clarissa, John (Judy) Noska of Browerville, Vicki (Tom) Larson of Bertha, Roger Noska of Staples, Pam (Paul) Reese of Fertile, Randy (Ann) Noska of Browerville, Mathew Michels of Browerville & Elizabeth (Paul) Kortie of Cloquet.
